Let’s get into it.

Seed Club Demo Day. Our friends at Seed Club knocked it out of the park with their Demo Day for their 4th accelerator cohort – “twenty-one incredible projects representing a vast array of big ideas: climate, music, apparel, media, astrology, creativity, consumer packaged goods, food, NFTs, sports, and education.” If you’re looking to see all that tokenized communities can offer, look no further. The Seed Club community is at the cutting edge, and Forefront is proud to be a part of it! ABSOLUTE FIRE 🔥

The New Creator Economy: A guide on Web3 creator platforms. This piece from Antler is a great overview of the “creator economy” today, its big players, power structures, and trends. Specifically, the post breaks down web3’s role in the creator economy and how community tokens and platform ownership are shaking up how creators get paid and by whom. Great summary of the trends we’ve seen over the last two years. INSIGHTFUL 🔬

Visa launches program to help creators navigate NFTs. Visa has launched the Visa Creator Program, “an initiative that aims to help digital-first artists, musicians, fashion designers, and filmmakers accelerate their small business through non-fungible tokens (NFTs).” The program seems to be focused on creators who have not yet begun their journey with NFTs yet. Visa will offer selected creators a stipend, mentorship, and technical support for minting. THE MORE THE MERRIER ⚡️

Who benefits most as NFTs become more 'real'? This article from The Week asks what happens as NFTs legitimize themselves in the world of entertainment and culture? Currently, much of the “ownership” afforded by NFTs is symbolic – you own the token, but not much else. The promise of true platform ownership is still a long way off. However, currently it is simply a means of profit for many of the biggest celebrities in the world. INTERESTING TAKE 🎯

The Roads not Taken. Vitalik takes some time to reflect in this essay on the “roads not taken” in the Ethereum roadmap. He asks questions like “should we have gone with a much simpler version of proof of stake?,” and should there have been “more or less features in the EVM?.” Vitalik’s thoughtfulness is always appreciated, and this piece shows how many aspects of Ethereum that folks are most critical of were actually implemented after a careful, deliberate decision-making process from key stakeholders. While we may not agree across the board, essays like this are awesome ways to dig deep into the mind of the Ethereum development team. PERSPECTIVE 🌟

Own your attention back. Narrative drives short term price much more than we’re willing to accept. This piece explores how you can develop an investment framework that works for you, a tough task in the world of crypto Twitter. The author encourages you to “do things professionally, as if it was your work. CT is fun. It can feel childish, but it ultimately is a PvP arena.” If you’re looking at crypto as an investment opportunity, this is a great piece to read. GREAT... 👀

Transition to web3: a guide for non-technical roles. Li Jin recently launched a guide to transitioning into web3 for non-technical roles. This Notion dashboard is full of resources covering everything from “blockchain 101” to “committing to your niche.” She dives into some of the most in demand skillsets in web3 and how you can find opportunities to do work that you already know how to do. Most importantly, the guide explains how you can start contributing as quickly and effectively as possible, so you can start building community with others and get paid for your work! A DAO is selling NFTs for the right to tweet. This week, Tweet DAO began selling NFTs with the right to make one tweet daily from the project’s Twitter account. The crazy experiment has led to dozens of tweets – surprisingly enough, they’ve often reflected on both the project itself and the crypto community at large. Something about being able to tweet anything and deciding to tweet about the account you’re tweeting from is an interesting testament to human psychology to say the least. WILD 🗳
