OpenDAO airdrops SOS tokens to OpenSea users. Permissionless airdrops were a huge point of conversation this week. OpenDAO decided to airdrop tokens to all OpenSea users, acting as a “vampire attack” or sorts on the popular NFT marketplace. While “free money” always makes headlines, what’s more interesting here is the push from the wider web3 ecosystem to ensure that communities have true ownership in the platforms they use, even if the current owners don’t agree.
